Matchjong Gardens is a Mahjong-inspired match-3 game that I independently designed, built, and published through SoftGrove Games. The product combines a long-form campaign with repeatable modes and a progression layer built around restoring a garden.
Product scope
- A 10,000-level campaign organised into 100 stages
- Daily, endless, and zen modes alongside the main progression
- Special tiles, blockers, boosters, rewards, and leaderboards
- A garden restoration layer connecting progression to a visible long-term goal
Engineering and delivery
I developed the gameplay and progression systems, the content pipeline needed to support thousands of levels, the user interface, and the supporting mobile integrations. The commercial release also involved in-app purchases, advertising and consent flows, daily rewards, store services, and post-launch updates.
The game is localised into 44 languages and available on both major mobile stores. That required treating localisation, release metadata, screenshots, compatibility, and store review as part of the product, not as work left until the end.
What it demonstrates
Matchjong Gardens shows my ability to build a content-heavy mobile product and carry it through engineering, publishing, localisation, monetisation, and maintenance as one coherent system.
