I am a software engineer based in Brasov, Romania, with eight years of professional experience. My work spans full-stack web development, backend services, internal platforms, integrations, and mobile products, including testing and deployment.
Current work
Since 2019, I have worked with eRepublik Labs as a long-term B2B contractor. I contribute across established products including eRepublik and War and Peace, where the work ranges from customer-facing features and commerce flows to platform modernization and internal systems.
For War and Peace, I contribute across the Svelte webshop, its Node.js and NestJS services, and the game backend. This includes authentication, checkout and payment integrations, live-event features, database-backed workflows, and automated tests. I also work with the Unity/C# client when tracing game behavior or bringing mobile features to the web.
On eRepublik, I work in a mature PHP and MySQL application with AngularJS and jQuery, alongside incremental Vue modernization. I have refactored product code and improved the Grunt-based asset pipeline, reducing local builds from 5-10 minutes to seconds.
My internal systems work includes a newsletter platform with a React admin interface, NestJS backend, BigQuery audience selection, and Amazon SES delivery. More recent development includes an AI-assisted support application with queued processing, knowledge-backed draft replies, human review, and evaluation tooling. It is still in development, not a completed production rollout.
Independent products
Outside my long-term client work, I build and ship products through my own company. Recent projects include Dialogo, a full-stack online therapy platform; two cross-platform mobile games released under SoftGrove Games; and the publishing, payment, and hosting infrastructure behind Bearerine.
Working on my own products has made me comfortable with the less visible parts of software: deciding scope, integrating third-party services, publishing to app stores, monitoring production, and maintaining a product after launch.
How I work
I am pragmatic about technology. I enjoy modern systems, but I am equally comfortable improving a mature codebase without disrupting the product around it. I prefer clear ownership, direct communication, and solutions that remain understandable after the first release.
My main tools include TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Svelte, Vue, Node.js, NestJS, Express, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sequelize, Redis, and BullMQ. I work with Playwright and Jest for automated tests, Docker and GitHub Actions for delivery, and cloud services such as Amazon SES, S3, and BigQuery.
I use Claude Code, Codex, and agent-based workflows in development. My application work also includes Anthropic API integrations and evaluation tooling. These support engineering judgment, not replace it.
I am open to remote software engineering roles and selected B2B contracts through my Romanian company. My strongest fit is full-stack product development, commerce, internal platforms, and legacy modernization.
